Chae Tea Bar was born from a passion for matcha, and what it feels like to truly slow down.

Our name comes from cha (茶), the character for tea. It also speaks to colour, fullness, and balance. That felt like exactly what we were trying to create.

Based in Vancouver, BC, it didn't start overnight. Late nights, relentless work, and a commitment to getting every detail right. We source only first harvest matcha, crafted with intention and care, honouring the tradition behind every cup.

We believe in spaces where you can slow down, reconnect, and be present. Whether it's part of your morning, a break in your day, or a moment shared with someone — we want that space to feel like yours.

At Chae, matcha is not simply a drink. It's a ritual. A small return to presence, a moment of calm within the everyday. That's what Chae is built around.
